How To Assemble Your Surf Guide Zine

Print the zine file, double sided, at home or at FedEx Kinkos. If you have cardstock and want the trim the white margins off, yours will look extra pretty.

To print at FedEx Kinkos, email the PDF to [email protected], then go to a store location and use a self serve machine to print the file by typing in the code FedEx emails you once you file is ready. ^Select the “2-Sided Flip” to automatically print the file double sided.

Fold your three printed sheets along the red lines, in quarters.

Flip your sheets around along the folded lines until the front of each folded sheet looks like this^ The page numbers can be found in red in the corners. (Left to Right: page 1, page 5, and page 9).

Nest your folded sheets like this^ (page 1 on the outside, then page 5 inside that, and in the absolute middle page 9).

^If you flip your nested sheets over, the exact middle of the zine should look like this, with page 12 and 13 in the center of the booklet.
To bind your zine, you can either use a stapler (the quick and crude version!^) or a needle and thread.

^To free the pages of your zine, use and x-acto blade or a pair of scissors to slice along the folds.

Yay you are done! Here are the answers to your surfing questions according to my experience.
